Manitoba Dental Association launches investigation into local woman’s death

The Manitoba Dental Association says there will be an investigation into a woman's death following a medical emergency that developed while she was at a dental appointment.

The association says the woman, who was from the Morden-Winkler area, was recently taken to hospital by emergency responders but did not survive.

Association president Dr. Daron Baxter says they don't have all the information at this point, but they are committed to finding out what led to the patient's death.

Baxter says such tragedies are rare.
