St. Mary's Villa to get a new tub chair lift with donation from Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament

The St. Mary’s Villa Foundation received an assist from the Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament.  

On Tuesday, the Broncos Memorial Golf Tournament made a presentation to the Villa Foundation for a cheque for $13,000.  

Executive Director Donna Muench says the donation will be used to purchase a new tub chair lift.  

Muench added that all four of the chair lifts at the Villa are in need of some replacement. (An old tub chair lift is located in the photo).  

Recently, the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation have received donations from the Good Neighbour Store ($150,000) along with the proceeds of the Smile Cookies campaign from Humboldt’s Tim Hortons ($17,636.50). Muench said those donations would go towards the equipment and furnishings of a new long-term care home in Humboldt. 

With the recent donations, the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation has now surpassed $1,000,000 of the $5,000,000 required for equipment and furnishings for a new long-term care home facility.  

Muench extended appreciation for the support the foundation has received and is now looking forward to surpassing the $2,000,000 mark.
