Several 4-H Clubs in Central Alberta have received grants through the 2024 FCC 4-H Club Fund.
The funding, up to $500 per club, is part of a province-wide initiative supporting youth development and leadership opportunities for young Albertans.
Among the clubs receiving funding in Central Alberta are Central Lacombe Beef Club, Knee Hill Valley Beef Club, Lacombe 4-H Outsiders Club, Noble Riders, Ponoka 4-H Renegade Riders, Rangeland 4-H Beef Club, Red Deer 4-H Horsemen, Rosebrier 4-H Beef Club, Silver Valley 4-H Riders, West Central 4-H Alumni, West Central Wranglers, and West Ponoka 4-H Beef Club.

The FCC 4-H Club Fund, established in 2013, has contributed over $1 million to more than 2,100 clubs across Canada.
In 2024 alone, 48 Alberta clubs benefited from the fund.
"FCC has been an outstanding supporter and partner of the 4-H program for many years," said Hugh Maynard, Interim CEO of 4-H Canada. "The FCC 4-H Club Fund supports volunteers nationwide as they continue to build the next generation of leaders in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment."
This funding will help local clubs support their programs, activities, and volunteers, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for youth to develop leadership skills and engage with their communities.
4-H Canada’s mission is to empower youth to 'learn to do by doing' with programs that nurture responsibility, teamwork, and community engagement. Farm Credit Canada (FCC), a long-time partner of 4-H, emphasizes the importance of investing in young leaders who will shape the future of agriculture.
"4-H Canada exemplifies the character, hard work, and innovation that drives the success of Canada’s agriculture industry," said Justine Hendricks, President and CEO of FCC. "We are grateful for the work 4-H does in providing exceptional programming to support the next generation of producers."
Applications for the next FCC 4-H Club Fund grant round will open in August 2025.
