Christmas spirit is alive and well in 11-year-old Paige Landry, who recently shared her passion for all things Grinch with us at Golden West. Dressed in full Grinch-themed attire, Paige talked about her favorite holiday character, revealing a deep knowledge of the beloved Christmas classic.

Why Paige loves the Grinch

"I like the Grinch because he's funny," Paige explained, noting that her favorite version of the Grinch is the original cartoon. "His laugh is funny. The way he looks is funny... he turns his head all the way around his body!"

Paige demonstrated her Grinch expertise on the three Grinch movies: the original cartoon, the live-action film starring Jim Carrey, and the newer animated feature. When asked why she prefers the oldest version, she said, "Because it’s funny," adding that while Jim Carrey's version features the Grinch becoming the "Cheermeister," and in the original, "He just cuts the roast beast."

Grinch-themed holiday fun

The holiday chat also turned to current Grinch-themed offerings at McDonald’s. Paige enthusiastically shared, "There’s a Happy Meal with a Grinch toy," noting she had already received a toy Max, the Grinch’s loyal dog, which came with a mini stocking.

Paige also described her family's holiday tradition of making a Grinch-themed drink: "It's a green hot chocolate with four cups of milk, one cup of chocolate chips, and a pinch of vanilla. You boil it, add green food coloring, and top it with marshmallows."
