A magical winter at Lindsay Rae's farm
Nestled in a snowy wonderland, Lindsay Rae's farm is home to more than just picturesque winter scenes—it’s where holiday magic comes to life. The corral is occupied by two special residents, Tornado and Katie, who aren’t just miniature horses this season—they’ve transformed into festive reindeer, ready to spread cheer and spark smiles.
Meet the festive duo: Tornado and Katie
"This is Katie and Tornado," shares Lindsay Rae with a smile. "But this winter, they’ve traded their horse status for reindeer duties." Dressed in flashy reindeer antlers and jingling bells, Tornado and Katie fully embrace their festive roles.
Katie, Tornado’s daughter, seems especially fond of the seasonal attire, while Tornado occasionally protests by shedding his antlers or kicking off his shoes. "By the time we get to an event, he usually doesn’t have his shoes anymore," Lindsay chuckles.

A heart for horse therapy and community joy
Lindsay’s journey with these charming minis began at the Brandon Winter Fair, where she met someone downsizing their herd. "I’ve always had a heart for horse therapy," she explains. "The impact animals can have on people is incredible." Since then, Tornado and Katie have been spreading joy through community visits and therapy events.
Their adventures even include helping Santa build a snowman during a warm spell. "They needed something to do on their day off," Lindsay recalls with a smile.
Spreading holiday cheer and unicorn magic
While Tornado and Katie are reindeer for the season, they moonlight as unicorns year-round, attending parties and events. "We do parties all year," says Lindsay. "Some kids truly believe in unicorns—and honestly, so do I."
Their magical charm isn’t limited to children. During a visit to Homestead South, seniors were equally delighted by the sparkly duo. "Seeing their reactions was really special," Lindsay shares.
A Country Princess merchandise and last-minute holiday shopping
The festive spirit extends beyond the farm with Lindsay’s 'A Country Princess' merchandise line, featuring unicorn-themed bath bombs, soaps, and kids’ dress-up accessories. "Check out www.acountryprincess.com for all the fun items," she encourages.
For anyone still hunting for holiday gifts, Lindsay invites shoppers to a last-minute holiday market at Pure Anada in Morden, running Friday December 20th from 1-7 p.m. and Saturday from 3-5 p.m. "The doors between all the shops will be open, so you can sip coffee while you shop," she adds.
With Tornado and Katie’s playful antics and Lindsay’s passion for sharing their magic, it’s clear this farm is more than just a home—it’s a place where winter dreams come true.
