This New Year’s Eve, families in the community are invited to celebrate early at Life Centre Church’s Noon Year’s Eve event. The free event will take place on December 31st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 96 17th Street, and it will be geared toward families with young kids.
“We wanted to create something fun for families who might not stay up until midnight,” said Pastor Matt Erickson, the lead pastor at Life Centre Church.
The event features a countdown, a balloon drop at noon, and activities like face painting, a photo booth, snacks, and games. Families can also make a 2024 time capsule to open next year. Pyjamas are encouraged to feel like it is nighttime.
“Kids can have all the fun of a New Year’s party without the late night,” added Pastor Matt. “It’s all about bringing families and the community together.”
Donations of food or money for the Salvation Army will be welcomed but aren’t required.
For those who prefer to celebrate late, Life Centre also hosts a casual games night starting at 7 p.m., leading up to midnight.
