Weyburn Tourism's rebrand, 'What's Up, Weyburn?' took effect just before 2024, and Executive Director Monica Osborn said this led to 'a really fun year' for their team.
"We're just still working on getting our branding out there and our messaging of how to be part of our community and encourage visitors to come and so we have really capitalized on our branding and we just have lots of fun promoting events, different things that are happening within our community," she shared.
Osborn encourages businesses and organizations hosting events to reach out to Weyburn Tourism for help with promotions.
"Reach out to our office so that we can either get it on to our social media or onto our events calendar that we do have on our website."
She said the third annual Pumpkin Lane, held in October, was a huge success.
"It was even bigger and better this year with over 1,200 people coming through the gates," she noted. "It just keeps getting better every year and we appreciate all of the help and support over the last couple of years to make it an event that is family-friendly and people are excited to come to."
Another highlight for Weyburn Tourism every winter is River Park Sparkles, which opened up in early December, featuring festive holiday light displays from businesses and organizations at the River Park campground.
"If you haven't had a chance to go around and look at it, it is on until January 5th, and it's just a great way to bring some holiday spirit to our community."
Other than the rebranding and new logo, Osborn said 2024 differed from other years in that they have been working to get out more into the community.
"Just being part of that community spirit is a little bit more focus on what we are going and striving for," she shared.
For 2025, Osborn said they'll be focusing on marketing and coming out with a brand new Visitor Guide, which includes providing communities outside of Weyburn with information about what Weyburn has to offer and encouraging more visitors.
"So we have a marketing plan in place and getting it finalized in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for lots of fun and adventures throughout tourism."
