Students and staff are able to return to Steinbach Regional Secondary School after a bomb threat was made earlier Tuesday morning. 

RCMP and fire crews quickly responded to the scene and the school was evacuated as a precaution. 

To assist in the search, Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Services were called in. Officers cleared the scene a short time later after no suspicious devices or items were located.

A 16-year-old male youth has been identified as a possible suspect.

Classes will move ahead as normal, however, students who were picked up will be excused for the remainder of the day. 

According to RCMP, there is no threat to the public at this time. The investigation continues.
