Wild Rose Community Connections has been serving the Foothills area for 26 years.
Based in High River they offer many programs across the Foothills, from Okotoks to Claresholm to Diamond Valley.
Their programs cover four key groups: Food Connexx, Dad Connexx, Senior Connexx, and Family Connexx.
Executive Director Marianne Dixon says their Good Food Box is a big hit with families looking to save money.
Dixon said while you don't know what fresh produce you'll get; you'll save money as they've priced out some of the boxes and you can save at least half from buying from the grocery store.
"15 to 20 for a small, medium is 25 to 30 pounds, and a large is 35 to 40 pounds. So, a small is $35, a medium is $40 and a large is $45."
Ordering information is available on their website.
They also have food hampers available once per month.
One of the other programs they have is 'Dad Connexx'. It's a program that welcomes male role models, whether that's a dad, stepdad, uncle, grandfather, older brother or any other male role model to get together over food like pizza and have some quality time with their kids.
"The most common thing we hear back from dads is 'it's so great to be able to go somewhere and meet other dads. A place to relax, have fun and hang out', they really appreciate that."
