Some of the best players in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) will face off over the next couple of days in the MJHL-SJHL Showcase in Winnipeg.
Players from their respective leagues were split into three teams, one U18 team, and two U20 squads.
Six players from the Humboldt Broncos will be in action during the showcase. Forward Connor Miller is participating as a part of the U18 team (Team Blue).
On the U20 squad (Team White), defencemen Oakley McIlwain and Tre Fouquette along with forwards Kye Benoche, Boris Kofman, and Jacob Strizzi will take part.
Head Coach Brayden Klimosko will be an assistant coach for Team White, working alongside Trevor Blevins.
On Tuesday, Team White from the SJHL will meet Team Black from the MJHL at 3:00.
At 6:00, Team Blue from the SJHL squares off with Team White of the MJHL.
On Wednesday, the SJHL’s Team White meets the MJHL’s Team Red at 2:00.
At 5:00 it will be a U18 rematch, as SJHL’s Team Blue meets MJHL’s Team White.
The Showcase gives scouts from leagues including the NCAA, USPORTS, WHL, and NHL a chance to compete in a high performance event.
