Update- Sat, Feb 8;th 10:53 a.m.

According to 511 Alberta, and Innisfail RCMP, both the southbound and northbound lanes of the QEII near Innisfail have been cleared. The highway was closed at around 4:30 pm on Friday due to an overturned tanker. Watch for heavy traffic congestion in the area.

Update - Sat, Feb. 8 - 8:00 a.m.

Southbound QEII near Range Road 362, just north of Innisfail, remains closed Saturday morning due to a tanker rollover that occurred Friday afternoon.

Northbound QEII is now open.

RCMP confirmed the crash involved three vehicles, and minor injuries have been reported.

There is no estimated time for reopening, and drivers are urged to avoid the area.

Highway 2A via Penhold is available as an alternate route.

An Overturned semi-trailer on the QEII has lanes in both directions near Range Road 281, closed.

Innisfail RCMP are also currently on scene of a 3-vehicle collision on the QEII near Township Road 362.

Although minor injuries are reported, RCMP are advising that Southbound traffic is being redirected while emergency workers clear the scene.

One of the involved vehicles is a semi and it will take some time to clear.

An update will be provided when police are clear.
