The Weyburn Beavers are excited to announce the date and guests for their upcoming Sports Dinner fundraiser. On March 15th, at the Weyburn Legion, the Weyburn Beavers will have some food, some drinks, and two big names joining in the fun. Sportsnet Central baseball analyst Jamie Campbell and former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher John Axford will be the guest speakers.
Weyburn Beavers president Garnet Hansen is excited for these two prominent names in baseball attending and enjoying a night of fun.
“It's one of our major fundraisers, obviously, but it gives people an opportunity to have a night out, getting closer to spring there and people are starting to think about baseball. The Blue Jays preseason starts before the end of March, and so hopefully we'll be able to talk about some positive things in terms of the Blue Jays and the season ahead and touch on the Beavers and how that’s looking for the 2025 (season) too.”
They will also be hosting a silent auction with items being lined up for bid the night of the supper. It’ll be held at the Weyburn Legion starting with cocktails at 5:30 and supper itself at 7:00 P.M. V.I.P tickets are $1000, a table for eight is $750, and individual tickets are $100 per person.
