Three individuals have been arrested and face charges in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Feb. 06, 2025 at a residence in Wetaskiwin.
The victim said three suspects entered his home, pointed guns at his head and stole a television, bank cards, identification card, money and a cell phone before fleeing on foot.
On Feb. 07, 2025, the investigation led RCMP to a nearby residence.
Two individuals were located and arrested.
Kristen Rain, 39, of Maskwacis was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Pointing a Firearm
- Assault with a weapons x2
- Uttering Threats
Shane Potts, 35, of Maskwacis was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with a firearm
- Pointing a firearm
- Assault with a weapon x2
- Uttering Threats
A third suspect was taken into custody without incident on Feb. 12, 2025.
RCMP located two imitation firearms that were used in the robbery.
Derek Feller, 35, of Wetaskiwin, was arrested and charged with:
- Robbery with firearm
- Assault with a weapon x2
- Uttering Threats
All three are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in Wetaskiwin Provincial Court on Feb. 20, 2025.
