Lanigan’s Kayden Stroeder will receive another look from the Edmonton Oil Kings of the Western Hockey League (WHL).

On Wednesday, Stroeder was recalled by the Oil Kings and was in the team’s lineup for their 5-2 win over the Regina Pats.

This will mark the second time this season that Stroeder has been called up by the Oil Kings. Back in December, he played six games with Edmonton, registering six points (3G-3A) in six games, which is the most points by a 15-year-old in the franchise’s history.

Last spring, Stroeder was selected fifth overall of the WHL Prospects Draft.

The 15-year-old has spent most of the season with the Saskatoon Contacts of the Sask. U18 AAA Hockey League, where he leads the team with 53 points (22G-31A) in 36 games.
