Janice Lynn Assin, passed away on September 22, 2021 at 6:26 pm. She was born on November 6, 1982 in Kenora, Ontario.
Janice was predeceased by her grandparents Josephine Assin, Arthur Assin (father in law Simon Fobister), William and Davy Tanguay, brother Kiefer and baby sister Jane M.
She is survived by her parents Janet and Kenny M., her spouse Ben Fobister, her children Mason and Josey Fobister, mother in law Lucy Fobister, her boys Leroy (Susan), Kari (Stacy), Brian (Tasha) and Brentt, her siblings Tanya, Kenn, Maggie (Mario), Toby (Rose), Candice (Parker), Dale, Lorenda K and her cousins, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. As well as her aunties Angela Strong, Charlotte Loon, Sarah Jane Strong, grandpa Fred Land and her friends Bonnie and Trevor Miller, Alana P., Fawn C., Clayton, Dereck. Travis and Denis Ogden, Amy M., and many more friends too numerous to mention.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, spending time in the great outdoors, she had a good sense of humour and was always making people laugh, she was always there when people needed her help. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Wake service will begin on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 3:00pm at Agnes Fisher’s Church. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 with burial to follow in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
