With more than 21 years of experience in education including over a decade with RVS, Reed brings a deep passion for student success and a strong commitment to leadership excellence, states an RVS new release.

He has served in various leadership roles as assistant principal and principal in multiple schools across Alberta and advanced to director within the Education Centre.

“Ryan’s proven ability to foster a culture of communication, integrity, and student-centered leadership will be instrumental in advancing the division’s priorities,” states RVS board chair Fiona Gilbert. “As a highly respected leader who always puts students first, we are looking forward to the positive impact he will continue to bring to RVS in this new role.”

Reed is currently director of schools guiding administrators located in Cochrane, Airdrie, and Crossfield and supporting emergent issues at the school and division level.

“It is an honour, and I am humbled to have this opportunity to serve as superintendent of schools,” states Reed in the release. “I look forward to working with the board and my colleagues to advance the board’s strategic plan priorities and the goals of RVS’ Education Plan.”

Reed earned a Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, a Master of Educational Leadership from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and is currently completing his Chartered Professional Human Resources (CPHR) Certification from the Captus Institute in Toronto.
