A local hockey legend was loudly supporting Team Canada during the 4 Nationals Face-Off.
Shaunavon native Dr. Hayley Wickenheiser tweeted her support for Canada as they took on the United-States in the new tournament's championship game.
"Signed. Sealed. Delivered!! (Way to Go) Boys! Great game," Wickenheiser wrote on X.
Wickenheiser's popular speech after winning the 2002 Women's Hockey Olympic Gold Medal then went viral again on X thanks in part to a tweet from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
Connor McDavid's overtime winner lifted Canada over the United-States in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game in front of 14.4 million fans watching on Canadian TV.
Wickenheiser is one of the most decorated hockey players of all time.
She is also an Assistant General Manager, Player Development for the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs.
