The Winnipeg Public Library has announced its newest Maker-in-Residence.

This year they have chosen Raymond Lyttle, a multidisciplinary artist, to take on the role

Lyttle is based out of Winnipeg and is skilled in a variety of mediums including ink, ceramics, oil paints and watercolour.

He says he enjoys connecting with the community, creating visual representations and watching others interpret his prompts.

"It is incredibly rewarding as an artist and an educator," said Raymond. "I'm excited to see what the library community will bring to the workshops and the creative space we will build together."

Raymond will work out of the ideaMILL at Millenium Library from March 3 until June 14, offering workshops and programs for families and youth.

Lyttle will also offer weekly drop-in studio time to allow visitors access to his creative process and to try new skills.
