The Estevan City Council is moving ahead on a tender which they've accepted for Hillside Park's pool.
The project will be composed of the design, supply and construction of a community swimming pool at Hillside Park.
The city had a choice between Paradise Pools, which offered a price of $504,148.91, and Western Recreation, which sent an estimated cost of $568,000.
Additional events required before construction include a preconstruction meeting and an official public announcement of the project.
Councillor Dubowski made the motion to accept Paradise Pool's bid, stating that the company had already worked in the community with the construction of a new pool at Churchill Park back in 2022.
The city's documents state that the proposed completion date for the project is August 31, 2025, barring inclement weather or other events which may slow that down.
