A theatrical comedy with heart

Marc Moir and Laura Kathleen-Turner, the artistic directors of Looking Glass Theatre, bring their expertise to Morden with a new production of Mr. & Mrs. Nobody on Friday, February 28th at 7:00pm. This lighthearted and relatable comedy, featuring Chris Friesen and Esther Koepnick with Eve Ross Moore, explores the humorous ups and downs of married life in a way that will have audiences laughing and nodding along in recognition.

“We wanted to create a show that captures real-life moments in marriage—the funny, the awkward, and the touching,” says Moir. “It’s a performance that feels personal because so many of us have lived these moments ourselves.”

A story that resonates

Mr. & Mrs. Nobody follows an everyday couple navigating the quirks and challenges of marriage, from miscommunications to hilarious misunderstandings. The production combines sharp wit with heartfelt storytelling, making it an enjoyable experience for audiences of all ages.

“This show is full of humor, but it’s also about connection,” explains Kathleen-Turner. “We want people to leave the theatre feeling uplifted and maybe even recognizing a little bit of their own relationships in our story.”

An evening of laughter and connection

The Kenmore Theatre, known for its cozy and intimate setting, provides the perfect backdrop for an engaging night of entertainment. With its blend of humor and relatability, Mr. & Mrs. Nobody promises to be a memorable event for couples, friends, and theatre enthusiasts alike.

“We love performing in venues like the Kenmore Theatre because it allows us to really connect with the audience,” Moir adds. “We’re looking forward to bringing the show to Morden and sharing some laughter with everyone.”

The power of shared theatre experiences

For Moir and Kathleen-Turner, theatre is more than just entertainment—it’s about connection. “There’s something magical about experiencing a story together, in the same room,” says Kathleen-Turner. “Live theatre creates a bond between the audience and the performers that you just can’t replicate anywhere else.”

Moir adds, “We love the way theatre brings people together. It’s not just about laughter or drama; it’s about sharing an experience that lingers long after the curtain falls.”
