The Estevan Police Service was out and about recently which included a fire call that they responded to.

On Tuesday EPS members responded to a residential fire in the Royal Heights Trailer Park along with Estevan Fire and EMS. No injuries were reported as the occupants were not home at the time and the fire was deemed not suspicous.

Officers also received a report of an impaired man leaving a local liquor store. An incomplete description of the vehicle was given to police, however they could not locate it to determine the driver's sobriety.

Another report came in of a male causing a disturbance at a local business. When members mediated the situation, they got the subject to leave without incident.

A call came in for a youth who was missing after they had not returned home from school. While the dispatch was gathering information, the youth walked into the residence and no police action was neccessary.

A pair of scam attempts were reported to the EPS for a fraudulent STARS fundraiser. The caller had told the recipients that the winner had to pay fundraising taxes before receiving the prize. Neither party gave up any personal information or money.
