The Weyburn Golf Club is hosting a Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament this Saturday, March 1st at the Weyburn Golf Club. Registration starts at 2:00 P.M. and hands start dealing out at 3:00 P.M. There’s a 50% payout from the tournament, with half the proceeds being paid to the players, and the other half to the Weyburn Golf Club’s irrigation project for their back nine. A project that general manager of the club, Krystle Fedoretz, states will help beautify the back nine and bring it to the quality of the front.

“Anybody who's come out to the course probably knows that our front nine looks absolutely beautiful. However, depending on the weather, sometimes our back nine is less than perfect. The reason for that is in southern Saskatchewan, water is key. Our irrigation system has failed on the on the back nine and so we're looking at replacing that.”
