After a busy few games in some of their leagues, the Estevan Curling Club is now gearing up for a busy weekend.

Estevan will play host to the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association's Regional SR Doubles & SR Boys curling matchups, set for today and tomorrow.

Club President Pauline Ziehl-Grimsrud talks about the tourney coming up.

"We have a very busy weekend. We're starting at noon today. We are the host club for the high school regionals for boys and doubles, so we'll have a full rink all day today and tomorrow with the winners moving on to the provincial championship. So there'll be two boys teams and two double teams that will move on to the next level and that's next weekend."

People are invited to join and cheer on the local teams, with tickets at $7 for adults and $5 for those in grades 7-12.

Ziehl-Grimsrud says there's also some local talent to cheer on during those matches.

"We have eight doubles teams representing the Estevan comprehensive, and we also have our senior boys team playing here today. We also want to wish best of luck to the senior girls ECS team that will be in Wawota today at Regionals."
