Estevan police responded to multiple incidents over the weekend, including arrests for assault and failing to comply with release conditions, a stolen bicycle, and reports of threats and harassment.

On Feb. 28, officers were called to the southeast area of the city for a report of a male burning items in a backyard and causing a disturbance. Members spoke with the man, who was found to be burning cardboard in a fire pit. He was advised of the bylaw and warned to keep the noise down.

Police also arrested a male who was found outside his residence after his court-ordered curfew. He was lodged in cells and released in the morning.

Officers responded to a report of a male threatening staff at a local business. The man left the area before police arrived, and the matter remains under investigation.

The following day, police were called to a residence in the southeast part of the city for a report of an assault. A female was arrested and lodged in cells. The matter remains under investigation.

Members also attended a noise complaint, warning the homeowner of the bylaw, and received a report of harassing communications in which a male had been sending text messages to a female. A statement was obtained, and the matter remains under investigation.

Several condition checks were completed on individuals, all of whom were found to be in compliance.

On March 2, police received a report of a BMX bicycle stolen from the central part of the city. The matter remains under investigation.

An Estevan male was arrested after failing to comply with conditions of his release order. He was lodged in cells.

Later, police responded to a duress alarm reported by an alarm monitoring company at a local residence. Members determined the homeowner had entered the wrong code, and there were no further issues.
