The Lanigan Pirates were eliminated from the U18 ‘B’ Provincials with an overtime loss to Carlyle on Saturday after the teams split the two games in the series.
In the U18 ‘C’ Provincials, the Watrous Hawks advanced after they swept the Naicam Vikings in a pair of games, 5-1 on Friday in Watrous and 7-4 in Naicam on Saturday. Watrous will now face the Aberdeen Flames in the North final.
On the opposite side of the bracket, the Wynyard Monarchs were swept by the Milestone Flyers in two games.
The Muenster Flyers were eliminated in the U18 ‘D’ Provincials by Wood River on Sunday with a 4-2 loss.
In Female U18 ‘A’ the East Central Fillies begin their series with the Saskatoon Comet Sting in Saskatoon on Thursday, March 6. Game two is on Saturday, March 8 in Leroy. If necessary, game three will be on Sunday back in Saskatoon.
In the U15 ‘D’ Provincials, the Cudworth Stars bid for a provincial championship came to an end after the Lashburn Flyers finished them off with an overtime win on Sunday.
On the south side of the bracket, the Watrous Hawks advanced after defeating the Avonlea Thunder on Saturday. They will meet the Redvers Rockets in the South final.
In Female U15 ‘A’,the East Central Fillies were eliminated by the Saskatoon Comet Vipers in three games.
In U13 ‘B’ Provincials, the Humboldt Broncos have advanced to the North Finals after sweeping the Melfort Mustangs in a pair of games, including a 7-2 win on Sunday. They will meet the Meadow Lake Stampeders in the North final.
In U13 ‘C’ Provincials, the Watrous Hawks were eliminated by the Southey Marlins in two games including a 5-1 loss last Friday.
