The Redvers Rockets are in the midst of an exciting and intense hockey season, with both provincial and Big 6 championships on the horizon.

In provincial hockey, the Rockets have advanced to the South Final in the D Division. Head coach Brian Magotiaux shared that the team secured a close 4-3 win in their first-round match against Milestone. Now, they are preparing for a series against Radville, with Game 1 scheduled for this Friday night in Redvers, followed by Game 2 on Saturday night in Radville. If necessary, Game 3 will take place the following Friday.

“We’re pushing for success, and we’re going all in, giving 110 per cent through every game. We know it takes hard work, and we’re ready to fight till the end,” Magotiaux said. The Rockets have added three imports to their lineup from Rocanville and Ituna, but the core team remains largely unchanged, sticking to their strategy and mindset for success.

Meanwhile, the Rockets are also gearing up for the Big 6 Championship series, where they will face off against the rival Moosomin Rangers for the third consecutive year. The series kicks off next week with Game 1 on Tuesday in Redvers, Game 2 on Thursday in Moosomin, and Game 3, if needed, the following Tuesday in Redvers.

"It's more of a tradition than a rivalry at this point," Magotiaux noted. "Both teams are familiar with each other, and though the Rangers frequently change their lineup, we know it’s going to be a tough matchup."

Magotiaux went on to explain that while the Rockets' team hasn't changed much over the last three years, the Rangers tend to have a different roster each year. "We play them in the league, but they’re not the same team as last year,” he added.

The Rockets have been dedicated all season, and Magotiaux is confident that their hard work will pay off. “They’ve put in a lot of effort, and they deserve everything they’ve earned. It’s all about grit and determination as we push toward that championship," he said.

As the Rockets continue their journey in both provincials and the Big 6 championships, the team remains focused on finishing strong and giving it their all for the title.
