Give the Word ministries has recently partnered with another hospital to deliver Bibles designed to encourage people battling cancer.
"We got an email from the spiritual director at a hospital in Alberta," says Ryan Rempel, staff member at Give the Word. "She was expressing how they have a lot of patients who are looking for answers in dark times. They have a lot of families looking for hope and encouragement."
Give the Word helps print and distribute a Bible called He Cares, which has testimonials from cancer patients in it to connect with people on the same journey.
"We are in regular contact with the chaplains at HSC, St. Boniface, the hospital by Deer Lodge and Boundary Trails in Morden. It's a regular supply of Bibles going to these hospital chaplains. We can offer them for free because of our amazing and generous donors."
Give the Word shares Bibles with groups of missionaries, other ministries, as well as individuals looking to dig into God's word.
"There was a lady that had contacted us who was not quite a new believer but well on her way," says Rempel, talking about a recent testimony. "She found us online and asked if she could have a Bible, one that was easy to read. We sent her a Bible that had a lot of questions and answers for new believers. She emailed us a number of months later to share her faith journey. How she had found the Lord and she now wants to share the gospel with her family."
