The Weyburn Lacrosse Association is hosting their final Come Try Lacrosse night tonight at the Credit Union Sparks Centre. A perfect opportunity to introduce kids aged 3-17 to the sport of lacrosse.
Kids aged 3-10 is from 6:30-7:30 P.M, females ages 3-17 from 7:30-8:15, and then finally ages 11-17 will be from 8:15-9:00 P.M. Staci Lebrecque, President of the Weyburn Lacrosse Association, says bring a helmet, gloves, shoes, and a good attitude.
“Historically, our try lacrosse events have been really well attended. Kids will decide they either fall in love with the game right away and then some kids just come out to have fun. Honestly, we encourage everyone to come, no registration necessary or anything regarding that. You just show up with your running shoes, your helmet and your smiles and a good attitude, and get ready to play some lacrosse.”
This is the final of three Come Try Lacrosse events they’ve hosted this year, with ones being on January 18th and February 9th. As well, registration for the regular season of Lacrosse will close tomorrow, so there’s no better time for kids to try the game, fall in love with it and then play it this season.

“It's the game we love.” Lebrecque says, “So we like to share it with the whole community, whether you are staying for the season or not, we just want to play some lacrosse.”
