St. Patrick's Day fun is taking over at Spray Lake Sawmills (SLS) Centre this year with a mix of family-friendly activities and Irish-inspired festivities.

Emily Redel, Hospitality Coordinator at SLS Centre, shared some of the exciting events they have planned for March 17.

Starting from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. families can enjoy a special scavenger hunt for kids.

"We’ve hidden shamrocks all around the building," said Redel. "When the kids find them, they’ll return to the On the Rocks lounge to claim fun prizes like gold chocolate coins, green lollipops, green Jello, and even some festive tattoos!" The hunt promises to be an exciting way for little ones to celebrate.

Adults can also look forward to St. Patrick’s Day festivities in the lounge, which will be fully decked out in green. There will be drink specials featuring green beer, bringing an authentic Irish feel to the celebration.

“It’s going to be a typical fun St. Paddy’s Day party, and we encourage everyone to wear green, though it’s not required,” Redel said with a smile.

The best part? The event is free for all, with the exception of drink specials.

Fun fact: St. Patrick’s Day is known for its green theme because of Ireland's lush landscapes and the legend of St. Patrick using the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity.
