No announcements were made today for further Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors projects in Cochrane but funding was confirmed for ongoing projects in the immediate area.

Devin Dreeshen, minister of Transportation and Economic Corridors, says his ministry's budget includes $11.9 million in preparation for the future Ghost Reservoir and $62.4 million for the Springbank Off-stream Reservoir, which is currently under construction.

There's also $24 million towards widening Hwy. 1A through the Stoney Nakoda Nation, a project that was announced several years ago.

In Calgary this morning, Dreehan provided some of the highlights of the proposed three-year $8.5 billion capital budget for the Ministry of Transportation and Economic Corridors. If passed, it's a $ 333.7 million increase from the ministry's budget last year.
