The Cochrane Water Ninjas delivered an exceptional performance at the Max Bell Lifesaving Sport Competition in Lethbridge, Mar. 8 - 9, achieving remarkable personal bests and setting multiple records.
The team, consisting of 51 dedicated swimmers, demonstrated outstanding skill and determination, with athletes surpassing their previous bests by fractions of a second to over 20 seconds.
Adding to their success, the Water Ninjas claimed an impressive nine out of 10 provincial records in the older age group category.
Caebri Smith set new records in the male 100m LC rescue medley, 200m LC obstacle swim, 100m SC manikin tow with fins, and 200m LC super lifesaver.
Alana Martens set new records in the female 100m LC manikin tow with fins and 100m LC manikin relay. Oliver Johnson set the new mark to beat in the 50m LC manikin carry.
The female relay team of Rylee Bashaw, Sydney Carnegie, Danica Fisher, and Alana Martens set new records in both the 100m LC manikin relay and 200m LC medley relay.
The male relay team of Rylan Carnegie, Rowan Holroyd, James Simon, and Nicolas Toner set the new record in the 100m SC manikin relay.

The Water NInjas compete at a Camrose meet this weekend. Provincials follow on Apr. 4 to 6 at the Seton YMCA in Calgary.
