It's never really spring in Cochrane until TC & Company hit the stage at the Lions Spring Barn Dance.

Tickets are now available for the Mar. 29 barn dance that is anticipated Cochrane night out for adults.

Lions president Chris Connon says TC and his gang are back by popular demand and never fail to please the crowd and keep them kicking up their heels.

"There's just something about TC," says Connon. "They have a long-time following. There are people my parents' age who had them play at their wedding dances. They're a great community band. It seems like they don't age at all. They just keep getting better and better as time goes on."

TC is currently on his winter holidays but loves playing this dance, so special arrangements were made for him to fly home.

"He was just absolutely tickled with the idea," says Connon.

As an added feature, this year's barn dance includes the first Texas BBQ of the season offered by the Butchery Block. The platter includes their smoked brisket, pulled pork, Texas hot links, coleslaw and baked beans, all prepared in-house to perfection.

The BBQ plater is available to eat in or take out, and there's a substantial discount offered for people who purchase both the meal and dance tickets.

"And even if you're in the cabaret later on, they'll be there serving up some cabaret-style food with the Texas BBQ twist to it," he points out.

The dinner runs from 6 to 7 p.m. and the dance follows.
