Christian artist and worship leader Pat Barrett is thrilled to worship alongside Canadians in just over a month, including in Winnipeg.

"I'm usually up in Canada once a year doing something," says Barrett. "Anytime you get a few nights in a row, it's the best. I hit a Tim Horton's and an Earls every time we pass one, that's where we stop."

Aodhán King, previously from Hillsong Young and Free band, will be opening up for Barrett during the cross-Canada Beautiful Life Tour.

"Aodhán is just the best. He is, obviously, an incredible songwriter. He's got just a beautiful heart for God. My wife and I went to Sydney years and years ago, to do some songwriting. I met him when I was down there. We've been friends ever since."

Barrett's latest album, Shelter, was released in Oct. of 2023 with 12 songs, including "Beautiful Life." He has a new project called "Happily Hidden" that will be released later in the summer.

"Music is always fun. Leading worship is fun. Leading worship with friends is the best. I know every night is going to have its own special little moment that's unique to it."

The husband and father of three are also part of the new band Sons of Sunday, which includes Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, Chris Brown, and Leeland Mooring.

"I grew up in a church and my dad is a pastor. Music, faith, melody, and theology, all those things were so connected for me growing up. But there's something that sounds so different about people in a room together singing things they actually believe or that they hope to believe. My prayer for it is that whatever happens on these nights, they last longer than that. I need it as much as anybody else."

Many of Barrett's song inspirations come from Scripture, including his single "Beautiful Life."

"One of the things that's becoming more and more true every day of my life is that life doesn't behave the way you expect it to. The more life you live, the more experiences you have that you wouldn't have wished you had. I think those are the days when the rubber meets the road with faith. In the passage in Ecclesiastes 3, you get this spectrum of life that includes the things that we would say are good and the things that we would say are bad. At the end of that chapter, it says 'He has made everything beautiful in its time.' On the good days it's an encouragement. Some days it's hard to believe."

Tickets are still available and can be purchased here. Until the end of Mar. 18, 2025, people can get a discount on tickets using promo code "STPAT."
