A Wildfire Preparedness Workshop is set to take place on Saturday, March 22nd, at the Bragg Creek Community Centre.
Running from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the event will bring together local experts, special guests, organizations, and community members to discuss wildfire preparedness and safety.
The event will be hosted by Banff Kananaskis MLA Sarah Elmeligi and will feature Redwood Meadows Fire Chief Rob Evans, the Town of Canmore Emergency/Protective Services, Parks Canada Fire & Vegetation Specialists and the FireSmart Coordinator & former Fire Chief from the Municipality of Jasper.

Attendees will learn how to reduce wildfire risk through presentations and advice from a panel of local experts.
The workshop will also provide guidance on how to start building an emergency plan and assemble a preparedness kit, equipping participants with essential knowledge to protect themselves and their communities in the event of a wildfire.
This workshop is open to all who are interested in better understanding wildfire risks and how to mitigate them.
