Airdrie is gearing up for the Know Where to Turn Run 2025. Set for Sunday, May 4th, said Elizabeth Wyczynski, Community Relations Specialist at Community Links.
“It’s definitely more than a race. It’s a community gathering, an awareness event, The event offers something for everyone including food vendors, local businesses showcasing their services, face painting for the kids, and appearances by the RCMP and the fire department. We even have live music. It’s really a showcase of our community coming together for an amazing cause.”
The mission of the Know Where to Turn Run is to support family violence services and supports in Airdrie and the surrounding areas, Wyczynski explains.
“In order to provide barrier-free services at no cost to our community members, we need to be able to fund these programs adequately. This race really provides a venue for us to raise those critical funds to support the community.”
Participants of all ages and skill levels can get involved. You can run, volunteer, be a sponsor or you can donate. The event offers a variety of race options:
- 2K Family Run – Perfect for younger participants and families.
- 5K Run – Andrea’s Run – Honoring Andrea Conroy, an Airdrie resident taken too soon from the community.
- 10K Run and Half Marathon – For those looking to push their limits.
Whether running solo or forming a team, participants can choose how to get involved. To register, sponsor, or volunteer, visit www.knowwheretoturn.ca
Know Where to Turn Run 2025 will take place on May 4th at Ed Eggerer Park behind Genesis Place, utilizing East Lake Park as well.
