There will be a free webinar today at 3:30pm to teach the art of animal tracking hosted by the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC).

The virtual event is open to anyone, whether they’re a nature enthusiast, an outdoor adventurer or just have a pique interest.

Participants can submit questions during the webinar where they can find out some of the important tracking tips including the best times and conditions to spot some animals tracks and how to do it safely.

The webinar will also cover the historical significance of tracking wildlife and some of the animals discovered in Canada.

Animal tracking is essential for groups like the NCC. With a grasp of tracking, experts can understand and protect the animal's habitats.

Two experienced wildlife trackers will be taking part in the Webinar. Aerin Jacob, the Director of science and research at the Nature Conservancy of Canada. the Jacob is also an adjunct professor at the University of Northern British Columbia, has a PhD in biology from McGill University and post-doctoral research at the University of Victoria.

Also participating is Joseph Litke, the co-founder of Fiera Biological Consulting, an Edmonton-based conservation consulting firm.
