At the Pangman School Gym, just 60 kilometers West of Weyburn on Highway 13, coins and other collectibles will be on full display at the Pangman Coin and Collectible Show and Sale. On Saturday, March 22nd from 10-3 P.M. there will be over 10 tables spanning a variety of different collectibles including coins, postcards, stamps, etc. Brad Neiszner, organizer of the Show and Sale, wanted to have a different event for people to enjoy.
“This year, I just decided to do kind of a show and sale, just kind of get the kids more involved in it. There will be probably 10 tables of coins, from our little coin club. One lady bringing postcards, one guy bringing stamps, and a young girl’s bringing her Red Rose tea miniatures. Like I said, it was just something different and I do the coin club thing once a month so just keep the kids involved.”
There will be a lunch available for sale throughout most of the event. Admission or table rental is available by donation so if those who have a collection would want to show it off, there is no better time than later this month in Pangman. However, as Neiszner states, spots are limited so you’d have to hurry.
“I think we're limited to about 25 tables, and I got half of those already spoken for. This one we’re just hoping for the best and hopefully it'll be something we can continue, hopefully we get enough interest we can continue it every year and just kind of grow it from there.”
