Four people are facing charges following a Saskatoon Police Service investigation into fentanyl and cocaine trafficking that led to multiple arrests and the seizure of drugs, weapons, and stolen property — including $15,000 worth of hockey sticks.
The SPS Crime Reduction Team, assisted by the Tactical Support Unit, carried out three separate enforcement actions last Saturday.
Around 9 p.m., officers arrested a 40-year-old man in the 1500 block of 19th Street. Later that night, police stopped a vehicle near Circle Drive and Lorne Avenue, taking three people into custody without incident and seizing cash.
Shortly after midnight, officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Fortosky Manor in the Parkridge neighbourhood, where a man was arrested inside.
Police seized more than 26 grams of fentanyl, over 11 grams of powdered cocaine, 2.6 grams of hard cocaine, Oxycodone pills, methamphetamine, shotgun shells, pistol shells, a stolen motorcycle, and hockey sticks valued at $15,000 that had been reported stolen from Extreme Sport Regina.
Charges against the four individuals are pending as the investigation continues.
