Fewer than 24 hours after the Winmar AAA Warriors’ thrilling 6-2 victory over the Swift Current Legionnaires in the Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League playoffs, the dates for the championship series against the Regina Pat Canadians have been set.
The series will open Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the Co-operators Centre in Regina.
The best-of-five series will continue Tuesday in Assiniboia, which will serve as the Warriors' home rink as the Temple Gardens Centre prepares to host the BKT Men's World Curling Championship.
Puck drop for Game 2 is set for 7 p.m. at the Southland Co-op Centre in Assiniboia.
The Warriors are looking to fill at least one bus with fans for the trip south of Moose Jaw to cheer on the team.
