Cochrane residents, get ready to spread your wings once again, Bird e-scooters are returning to town on April 1 (weather permitting).
According to the Town of Cochrane, the partnership with Bird Canada aims to reduce carbon emissions, ease traffic congestion, and provide an alternative to those who want to skip the car for a more sustainable way to get around.

Since the launch of the shared e-scooter pilot in 2021, the initiative has quickly gained wings, contributing to the town’s goal of reducing vehicle trips and promoting sustainable transportation.
Available through the Bird app, riders can simply activate their scooters and be on their way.
Last year, Bird recorded more than 10,000 rides on its e-scooters in Cochrane, with rides averaging 3.2 kilometres per trip.
