U13 AA Broncos eliminated in semifinal

A run to the final four ended for the Swift Current U13 AA ServiceMaster Broncos.

Declan Hill scored his second of the game as the Regina Buffalos beat Swift Current 5-4 in overtime to win their semifinal series 2-0.

Swift Current erased 2-0 and 4-2 deficits as Damien Girardin forced overtime with 3:59 to go in regulation.

Dane Bender, Lincoln Wilson, and Ethan Lloyd also scored for the Broncos. Burk Hargrave added four assists in the loss.

Swift Current finished the season 16-2-6 and were second place in the South Division. 

The U13 AA Broncos then beat the Regina Tigers and Estevan Bruins in the playoffs to reach the semifinal against the Buffalos.

They U13s were the last AA Broncos team left standing in the 2024-2025 hockey season.
