The Okotoks Oilers of the BCHL, are in a very tight race to make the playoffs.
With only two games left in the regular season, they're only three points up on the Spruce Grove Saints for the final playoff spot in the Interior Conference.
Over the weekend the Green and Gold lost a pair of home games at the Viking Rentals Centre.
Friday night saw the Oil lose to the West Kelowna Warriors 5-2 and then on Saturday, they were handed a 4-0 shutout loss at the hands of the Penticton Vees.
Coming up this Saturday and Sunday are the final two games of the regular season, and the team needs at least one point to make the playoffs.
The top eight teams in both conferences qualify for playoffs and the Oilers are sitting in eighth place right now with 45 points as the Saints have 42.
The Oiler's final two regular season games will be tough ones too as they face the Brooks Bandits on Saturday at the Viking Rentals Centre in Okotoks and then they head up to Sherwood Park against the Crusaders on Sunday.
