Assault

On Friday March 21st, at approximately 6:20pm, Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Maryland Ave. It was discovered that the two individuals residing there had assaulted each other, resulting in minor injuries to both. A 29yr old female and a 22yr old male were both charged for Assault and released on respective Undertakings to appear in Court in May.

Warrant of Arrest

Just after midnight on Saturday, March 22nd Police were called to the 1600 block of Princess Ave for a belligerent, intoxicated male, who had thrown a brick at someone. The 36yr old male was located and found to have 3 outstanding Warrants for his arrest. He was lodged at the Bps cells to appear in Court in the morning.

Curfew Breach leads to Drug Charge

At 4:04am, on the 22nd, Police conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Pacific Ave. A passenger in the vehicle was found to be on an Undertaking with a curfew condition. Search of the subject after arrest, revealed him to be in possession of a number of Xanax pills without having a prescription for them. The 30yr old was lodged in cells to appear in Court in the morning.

Intoxicated Person Detention Act

At 11:20pm on March 21st, Police attended to a residence on Cornell Bay in response to a 40yr old male highly intoxicated. The male was provided multiple opportunities to leave the area but failed to comply when requested to do so by Police. He was subsequently held in cells to be released when sober.

Breach of Peace

Police responded to a disturbance call at approximately 2:20am on Cornell Bay. A 21yr old female was found to be intoxicated and causing problems. She was lodged to be released when sober.

 

Disturbance

On March 23rd at 2:07AM, police attended to the hospital regarding a disturbance in the emergency room.  Originally, a 21y/o male was causing a disturbance at a west end hotel and required medical attention.  While at the hospital he became belligerent and threatening with staff, leaving before police arrived.  He was located in the area, highly intoxicated and found to have the same attitude with police that he had with the hospital staff.  He was arrested and lodged to be released when sober with a ticket for being intoxicated and disorderly. 

On March 23rd at 9:40PM, police attended a disturbance at a north end hotel.  An intoxicated 17y/o male was located and determined to be the cause of the disturbance.  He was arrested and will be released to his guardian along with a ticket for minor consuming liquor.

 

Possession of Property obtained by Crime 

As a result of an investigation from March 12th, 2025, a 31 y/o female was arrested in connection to a theft from Brandon University.  She was released with a court date.  Police also identified a co-accused and a warrant has been requested for that person.

 

Warrants

During the past 24rs, 4 adults were arrested at unrelated calls, all subject to arrest warrants. 3 were held for court and one was released with a court date.
