A 47 year old woman died as a result of a single-vehicle rollover believed to have happened during the early morning hours of Saturday.
Emerson RCMP received the report at 10:50am Saturday, locating the vehicle on Provincial Road 201, near Sundown Road. Officers found the vehicle, which had left the road, and collided with some trees and rolled.
The female driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling westbound on Provincial Road 201 at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and rolled.
Emerson RCMP continue to investigate.
