The Humboldt and District Music Festival got underway on Monday.
Piano performances will take place between Monday, March 24-Wednesday, March 26 at Westminster United Church.
Vocal, Musical Theatre, and Speech Art performances are on Thursday, March 27 at Westminster United Church.
Bands and Strings performances will take place at St. Augustine School on Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1.
Festival Coordinator April Pray says there are participants from Humboldt and surrounding communities taking part in the event ranging from 7-18, along with some adults also performing.
Pray adds there will be scholarships awarded during the festival.
“Each genre that is performing, the adjudicators will be selecting performers who have earned scholarships for their outstanding performances and marks given throughout the festival.”
The final concert for the Music Festival will be on Sunday, April 6 at Westminster United Church at 7:00, scholarships will also be handed out during the evening.
The entire music festival is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.
