Agnes Marie Yvonne (née Crozon) Coquet beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on March 21, 2025, at Chateau Providence in St. Brieux, Saskatchewan. She was 93 years of age. Agnes was born on November 29, 1931, on the family farm located in the Naicam, SK district, the cherished daughter of Rene and Anna (née Guegen) Crozon. Her grade 1-8 education took place at Byng School, situated just two miles from her family farm, where she developed a love for learning. On July 15, 1957, Agnes united in marriage with Lucien Coquet at Kermaria Church, about 20 kilometres east of the Town of St. Brieux, SK. Together, Agnes and Lucien established their home on a farm near St. Brieux, where they lived until 1972, when they moved to town. Agnes was a devoted homemaker, managing the household and caring for their five daughters, all born close together. In her early years as a mother, she faced the challenges of farm life without the modern conveniences of today. Agnes exhibited remarkable resourcefulness, crafting beautiful clothing for her daughters that reflected her exceptional sewing talents. Her passion for handiwork extended to crocheting and knitting. An extraordinary gardener, Agnes cultivated a vibrant array of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. After relocating into town, she embraced new friendships and shared countless joyful moments playing cards with her neighbors, friends, and family. Daily coffee outings at the local restaurant became cherished times, where stories and laughter were exchanged among companions. In 2017, Agnes moved to the Nirvana Pioneer Villa in Melfort but joyfully returned home in May 2021 to resume her life at Chateau Providence in St. Brieux. It was during her time there that she discovered a new pastime, the challenge of word search puzzles. Agnes cherished her grandchildren with all her heart, valuing every moment spent in their company and sharing her love and wisdom with them. Her legacy of compassion, resilience, and creativity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Agnes is deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
