Country music icon Shania Twain has been named the Parade Marshal for the 2025 Calgary Stampede Parade.
The five-time GRAMMY winner will lead the festivities as part of the countdown to the world-famous event, set to begin in just 100 days.
Twain, who last performed at the Stampede in 2014, expressed her excitement about the honour.
“The Calgary Stampede is an amazing celebration of Western heritage and culture,” she said. “I look forward to being part of it again, not only playing at the Saddledome but also riding through the streets of downtown Calgary.”

Calgary Stampede President Stuart O’Connor highlighted Twain's connection to Canadian culture, saying, "Shania embodies the grit, passion, and celebration that defines the Stampede. We can’t wait to see her lead the Parade and share this unforgettable moment with our community."
The parade will take place on Friday, July 4, kicking off the 2025 Stampede with a vibrant display of tradition and Western spirit.
