Estevan police responded to a range of calls in recent days, including a well-being check, compliance checks, impaired driving arrests, and a vehicle collision.
On March 24, the Estevan Police Service Police and Crisis Team conducted a well-being check on an individual at the request of a friend who was concerned for their health but unable to make contact. The individual was located at home and found to be in good health.
Multiple compliance checks were conducted on individuals in the community bound by court-ordered conditions, with all found to be in compliance.
The following day, officers arrested and charged two individuals in separate impaired driving investigations. Blood samples obtained at the time of driving later tested positive for illicit drugs. Both drivers were released with future court dates.
Police responded to a two-vehicle collision that resulted in both vehicles being towed. EMS attended and assessed those involved, but no serious injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
Officers also attended to mediate a dispute between two individuals. The matter was resolved, and no further action was needed.
