The Cochrane Public Library is gearing up for its second annual Edible Book Day, and it promises to be a fun and creative event for all ages.
Participants are invited to create edible works of art inspired by their favourite books, characters, or covers, with three exciting categories to enter this year: Kids Cake Creations, Family Fun, and the new Storybook Stars Through Time category, celebrating the library's 75th anniversary.
“This event mixes food and books in a playful way, and it's a chance for people to really get creative,” says Carmen Erison, Program and Engagement Manager at the library.
Participants will design their edible masterpieces at home and bring them to the library on the day of the event for display and public voting. Prizes include gift cards and family-friendly experiences from Found Books and Shop and the Fence and Post.
The drop-off period for entries is on April 5th from 10 a.m. to noon, with public viewing and voting from noon to 3 p.m.
