RCMP warning of hazardous road conditions

Alberta RCMP are advising the public to stay off the roads, unless travel is absolutely necessary, as weather and road conditions pose a significant hazard.

RCMP are advising that area highways, especially the QEII corridor south to Red Deer are in very poor condition. Motorists should postpone travel until conditions improve. Tow ban in effect.

They are also advising that a tow ban is now in effect within the area of Leduc.

Conditions may worsen overnight as Environment Canada is forecasting a risk of freezing drizzle this evening and overnight. Amount 2 cm. Friday more snow is expected.
